单项选择题英语练习题

Nowadays, many college students take part-time jobs in their spare time. Some work as tutors, teaching middle school students math or English. Others work in restaurants or shops during weekends. Taking a part-time job has many advantages. First, students can earn some money to help their families. Second, they can learn how to get along with different people. Third, they can get useful work experience before they leave school. However, part-time jobs also bring problems. If students work too many hours, they may feel tired in class the next day. Some even fail their exams because they spend too much time on work. Teachers advise students to balance study and work. Most experts suggest that students should work no more than twenty hours a week during the term. In this way, they can both earn money and keep up with their studies. Part-time experience also helps when students look for jobs after graduation, because companies prefer young people who already know how to work.

According to the passage, why do some students fail their exams?
